Bramley provides a happy, caring educational environment for its 120 pupils in which every individual is helped to attain her highest potential. Academic success is of obvious importance, but alongside that children are encouraged to develop their own interests and talents so that they become confident, but considerate members of the community. An excellent teacher/pupil ratio; a caring friendly atmosphere; highly qualified and enthusiastic staff; a genuine concern for each child's welfare - this is the Bramley approach.
Throughout the school girls work in small classes, according to their age group, with particular attention being paid to meeting the specific needs of individuals. In the early years, experienced and dedicated form teachers have full responsibility for their classes, while older children benefit from specialist teaching staff.
The pre-preparatory department -Little Bramley - provides a very sound foundation for later years at the school. It enables young children from the age of three, to settle quickly and happily into a stimulating environment in which there is every opportunity for learning and safe, organised play.
The preparatory curriculum is constantly being developed to keep abreast of educational changes in the National Curriculum, while retaining the excellence of well-tried methods. Particular emphasis is placed on Mathematics, English and Science, but the girls follow a comprehensive timetable, to cover a wide variety of subjects. Excellent new Science/Technology facilities are in use.
Bramley is justly proud of its excellent examination results for entry to senior schools.
